Steal my beginner & advanced opening repertoires.
The same ones I teach my best students, and the ones that took me to 2,100+ Elo.
Whether you’re at 500, 1,000, or already pushing 1,500+ — these openings work at every level.
Everyone who plays chess has an opinion about openings. And almost everyone ends up in one of two places — both of which cost you. Most players have tried both: a trap line for a week, then a main line abandoned three days in.
Gambits like the King’s Gambit and the Stafford hand over material on purpose. Openings like Owen’s Defense and the Modern give up the center instead. Either way you are betting the whole game on the same thing — that your opponent has not seen it before.Sometimes that bet pays off, and sometimes it does not. Either way, there is nothing you can do about it, because you are hoping your opponent does not know the right response. If they do, you are in trouble. You did nothing wrong except pick the opening. That is Hope Chess with a name attached — and losing that way teaches you nothing you can use in the next game.
Then there is the other end of the spectrum. The Najdorf, the Marshall, the Semi-Slav — these are genuinely excellent openings, played at the very top of the game, and they will teach you real chess. They will also eat your life. You need fifteen moves of memorized theory before you are even out of the opening, almost none of it carries over to the next line you learn, and one slip ends the game on the spot. They were built for people with unlimited study time. If that is not you, they were never really an option.
So most players end up bouncing between the two — chasing traps that stop working, or drowning in theory they never finish.
Almost nobody tells you there is a third option.
There is a category almost nobody teaches: openings that are genuinely main lines — sound, respected, played at the highest level — and simple enough that you can start using them after one lesson. That is the target. Three things at once, no trade-offs.
You reach the same structures in almost every game. You are not memorizing twenty branches — you are learning one setup and a handful of ideas. And critically, you cannot get destroyed in the first ten moves while you are still learning it.
One question settles this: do the best players alive actually choose these, at the highest level, when the game matters? Yes — all of them, all the time. Strong enough to punish your opponent the moment he makes a mistake.
Every one of them fights for the center, develops your pieces properly, and gives you real attacking chances. Develop, control the center, attack — that is chess. Most openings fail at least one of those three. These fail none.
One as White. One against 1.e4. One against 1.d4. That is all you need — and all three pass every test above.
You bring the bishop out to f4 and build a pawn triangle behind it — the same setup in almost every game, whatever your opponent does. An indestructible structure that early tactics simply cannot crack, and it still produces full kingside attacks once the knight jumps to e5. Playable tonight. Still playable at 2,000.
c6 and d5 stake the center behind another solid triangle. Nothing to fall for on move six, nothing weak to defend later. You simply arrive at the middlegame in good shape, game after game.
Played at the top for a century and still never refuted. A sound game every single time, and it teaches you the classical pawn structures the rest of chess is built on.
Those three are what works best for amateur players — verified across 1,300+ coaching students. But if you are serious and you want maximum results, I also teach you the exact repertoire that took me to 2,100+ Elo — the Queen’s Gambit, 1…e5 with the Berlin & Two Knights, and the Nimzo-Ragozin.
Knowing which openings to play is where most people stop. It is also where most people stay stuck. Here is everything the masterclass covers — and why the four pieces only work together.
Beginner and advanced, White and Black, complete. The beginner set verified across 1,300+ coaching students; the advanced set is the one that took me to 2,100+ Elo on Chess.com as a busy adult with a job. And they are not a PDF you file away and forget — managing a repertoire properly was the other thing nothing on the market did for amateurs, so I built that too: openings software you study them inside, searchable by name or by position, instantly.
Most players study openings and middlegames as two separate subjects. I did that for fifteen years — read the books, absorbed the ideas, hoped they would show up in my games. They never did. What actually works is deriving the plan from the opening itself. You finish your opening moves and you already know what you are doing — the knight to e5, the kingside pawn storm, the queenside expansion — because it comes straight out of the structure you just built. When your opponent goes off-book, you are not inventing anything. You already know the plan. You are only finding the moves that make it happen. That is the part nobody teaches, and I will show you how it works.
If you are a 700 Elo Caro-Kann player, you need to solve 700 Elo Caro-Kann puzzles — the exact ones showing up in your games. This used to be impossible, so I built the solution: a tactics trainer you customize to your own openings, at your own level.
My thinking system decides your move in any position — attack, or develop. Inside these openings it tells you exactly when the attack is justified and when you are still building. Nothing is memorized. Everything is understood.
Enter your name and email and you go straight to the masterclass. A copy of both lands in your inbox too, so you can come back anytime. No waiting, no drip, nothing to pay for.
